Corrosion-resistant forged piping component
ASTM A182 F316L Weld Neck Flange
A low-carbon, molybdenum-bearing stainless steel weld neck flange engineered for full-penetration butt-welded joints in chemical, hàng hải, energy and hygienic process piping.
What is an F316L weld neck flange?
MỘT ASTM A182 Mặt bích cổ hàn F316L is a forged austenitic stainless steel pipe flange with a tapered hub and a butt-weld end. The hub transfers stress gradually from the flange into the pipe, while the full-penetration weld provides a strong, inspectable joint for pressure and temperature cycling.
F316L is the low-carbon version of F316. Its maximum carbon content helps reduce the risk of sensitization during welding, while chromium, nickel and molybdenum provide better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion than 304-series stainless steel in many process environments.

Câu hỏi thường gặp
What is the material designation for an F316L weld neck flange?
The ASTM designation is ASTM A182 F316L and the UNS number is S31603. EN 1.4404 is commonly used for comparable European 316L applications, but the ordered standard and acceptance criteria should always be stated explicitly.
Which ASME sizes and pressure classes are available?
ASME B16.5 covers weld neck flanges from NPS 1/2 thông qua NPS 24. Common ratings are Class 150, 300, 400, 600, 900 Và 1500; Lớp học 2500 applies within the smaller size range defined by the standard.
Can the flange bore match a specific pipe schedule?
Đúng. The weld end and bore can be machined to match the ordered pipe outside diameter and wall schedule. Include the pipe specification and schedule in the RFQ to ensure correct weld preparation and alignment.
What is the difference between RF and RTJ facing?
A raised face uses a flat gasket contact area above the flange face. An RTJ flange has a precision-machined groove for a metallic ring gasket and is commonly specified for more severe pressure and temperature service. Mặt bích giao phối, gasket and facing must be compatible.
Which certificates can be supplied?
Tài liệu điển hình bao gồm một EN 10204 3.1 giấy chứng nhận vật chất, heat-number traceability and dimensional inspection report. PMI, PT, UT, hardness testing and third-party inspection can be arranged when included in the order requirements.
