وضع علامات على أنابيب النيكل والنحاس البحري: ISO 14726 مقابل تحديد المواد
Marine pipe colour identification and copper-nickel material identification are two different controls. ISO 14726:2008 uses main and additional colours to identify the content or function of piping systems on ships and marine structures. It does not prove that the pipe itself is 90/10 النيكل النحاس, 70/30 النيكل النحاس, UNS C70600 أو UNS C71500.
To verify the alloy, match the physical product marking to the purchase order, رسم, heat or lot traceability and material test certificate. Use PMI or laboratory analysis when the contract requires it or when markings and documents do not agree.
What Does ISO 14726:2008 Identify?
The current ISO 14726:2008 is titled Ships and marine technology — Identification colours for the content of piping systems. ISO states that it specifies main and additional colours according to a system’s content or function. The colours can also be used on drawings and diagrams. ISO lists medical gases, industrial gases and cargo piping outside its scope.
A colour band answers “what service is in this line?” It does not answer “what alloy is this pipe?" Do not accept colour coding as proof of C70600, C71500, سمك الجدار, حِدّة, heat number or compliance with ASTM B466/B466M.
How to Read Marine Copper Nickel Pipe Marking
Marking format depends on the governing product standard, طبعة, project specification, dimensions and purchaser’s supplementary requirements. A buyer or inspector should normally look for enough information to connect the item to the order and inspection documents. Common fields to check include:
- Manufacturer or traceable identification that can be matched to the certificate package.
- تسمية المواد, such as the exact UNS number or another designation required by the order.
- Product specification, for example ASTM B466/B466M when it governs seamless copper-nickel pipe or tube.
- Size and wall information stated in the units and format required by the order.
- Heat, lot or traceability number that links the item to its MTC and test records.
- Temper or condition where required by the product specification and purchase order.
A partial or worn stamp is not automatically a rejection, but it is not enough for positive identification. Hold the item for document review and follow the project’s traceability procedure before installation.
90/10 مقابل 70/30 Copper Nickel Identification
| Commercial name | Common UNS route | Published composition cue | What the buyer must verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| 90/10 النيكل النحاس | C70600; C70620 may be specified for a welding-modified route | The Copper Development Association lists C70600 with approximately 9.0–11.0% nickel. | Exact UNS, governing specification, حِدّة, أبعاد, heat/lot traceability and actual certificate results. |
| 70/30 النيكل النحاس | C71500; C71520 may be specified for a welding-modified route | The Copper Development Association lists C71500 with approximately 29.0–33.0% nickel. | Exact UNS, governing specification, حِدّة, أبعاد, heat/lot traceability and actual certificate results. |
ال Copper Development Association wrought copper-nickel data helps explain why PMI can readily separate the common 90/10 و 70/30 families by nickel content. It does not replace the ordered material specification or certified test report.
ASTM B466/B466M covers several seamless copper-nickel pipe and tube alloys, including C70600, C70620, C71500 and C71520. ASTM’s public scope notes that C70620 and C71520 are intended for products that will subsequently be welded. The commercial labels “90/10,” “70/30” and “Cunifer” are therefore not complete purchase descriptions.
Six-Step Verification Workflow
- Record the as-received marking. Photograph the full line before cleaning, cutting or fabrication. Keep the item tag and packing reference.
- Match the order. قارن السبائك, شكل المنتج, specification, مقاس, حائط, temper and quantity with the purchase order and approved drawing.
- Trace the heat or lot. Confirm that the physical identifier maps to the MTC and any ordered inspection documents.
- Check certificate identity. Review the exact UNS and specification edition, not only a broad description such as Cu-Ni, 90/10 or Cunifer.
- Use PMI when required. PMI can support alloy-family verification, but the method, معايرة, acceptance criteria and sampling plan must come from the project requirements. PMI alone does not verify every dimensional, mechanical or manufacturing requirement.
- Control discrepancies. Segregate mismatched or untraceable material and obtain a documented disposition. Do not recreate a missing heat number from appearance or colour.
Common Identification Mistakes
- Treating an ISO 14726 service colour as a material-grade code.
- Assuming all “Cunifer” items are the same UNS grade and product form.
- Reading 90/10 أو 70/30 as a complete specification without checking the welding-modified designation.
- Accepting an MTC whose heat or lot number cannot be linked to the physical item.
- Using one PMI reading as proof of the complete lot without an approved sampling plan.
- Confusing a material standard with the dimensional or pressure-rating standard for flanges and fittings.
RFQ and Inspection Checklist
- Component type and product form: ماسورة, أنبوب, شفة, fitting or valve.
- Exact alloy and UNS number, including any welding-modified grade where applicable.
- Governing material and dimensional standards with required editions.
- Size, wall or schedule, end connection, facing and pressure class where applicable.
- Service medium, الضغط التصميمي ودرجة الحرارة, seawater conditions and joining method.
- وضع العلامات, heat/lot traceability, نوع إم تي سي, مؤشر مديري المشتريات, تجربة الاقتراب من الموت ومتطلبات التفتيش من طرف ثالث.
- كمية, التعبئة, tag preservation and document-language requirements.
الأسئلة المتداولة
ما هو ISO 14726:2008?
It is an identification-colour standard for the content or function of piping systems on ships and marine structures. ISO reports that the 2008 edition was reviewed and confirmed in 2024 and remains current.
يفعل ISO 14726 identify C70600 or C71500?
لا. It identifies piping-system content or function by colour. Material grade requires product marking, traceability documents and any ordered verification.
Is Cunifer the same as copper nickel 90/10?
Cunifer is used commercially for copper-nickel-iron alloy families, but the word alone is not a complete material specification. اذكر درجة UNS الدقيقة, معيار المنتج, product form and condition.
Can XRF distinguish 90/10 من 70/30 النيكل النحاس?
An appropriate PMI method can usually distinguish the two common families because their nickel ranges differ substantially. The approved procedure must define the instrument, معايرة, surface preparation, sampling and acceptance criteria. PMI does not replace the MTC or prove all specification requirements.
What should be done when a pipe marking is unreadable?
Preserve the item, packing and photographs; check heat or lot traceability against the document package; and follow the project procedure for re-identification or testing. Do not install or remark the item based only on appearance.
