Slip on zirconium flanges are bored slightly larger than the pipe outside diameter so the flange slips over the pipe and is joined by fillet welds at the hub and back side. This design provides economical installation, reliable alignment and good performance in low to medium pressure piping systems handling highly corrosive fluids.
