Alloy 20 Flanges are manufactured using a nickel-iron-chromium steel alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance attributed to the presence of molybdenum and copper in significant amounts within the composition. These flanges bear a melting point at 1443 °C (2430 °F), tensile strength of 80,000 Psi, and yield strength 35,000 Psi, thus are particularly suited for environments exposed to sulfuric acid, crevice pitting, stress-induced cracking, and general corrosive conditions found in industries such as refineries, specialty chemical production facilities, and pulp & paper manufacturing sectors.
