Product Inspection

1. Chemical Composition Inspection

Chemical composition inspection is carried out to verify that the flange material meets UNS N08367 / ASTM A182 F44 requirements. Positive alloy chemistry is checked through spectrometer analysis against specified limits for chromium, nickel, molybdenum, nitrogen and other elements. This helps ensure the corrosion resistance expected for chloride-rich and aggressive media service.

2. Mechanical Properties Testing

Mechanical testing is performed according to the applicable material specification and project requirements. Typical verification includes tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and hardness to confirm the flange has the required strength and ductility after forging and heat treatment. Test results are linked to the heat number for full quality traceability.

3. Dimensional Inspection

Dimensional inspection covers flange outside diameter, thickness, hub dimensions, bore size, bolt circle, bolt hole diameter and quantity, as well as raised face or RTJ profile accuracy. Face finish and flatness are also checked to ensure proper gasket seating, alignment and interchangeability with mating flanges under international standards.

4. PMI Testing and Hydrostatic Testing

PMI testing is used to confirm the supplied flange is genuine AL6XN / UNS N08367 material before shipment. When required by order or application, hydrostatic pressure testing is arranged on assembled components or special pieces. Documentation can include EN 10204 3.1 certificate, MTC, dimensional report and additional inspection records for project approval.
