Monel slip-on flanges are bored slightly larger than the pipe OD so the pipe can slip into the flange before fillet welding at the hub and back side. This design offers convenient installation, economical fabrication and reliable service in low to medium pressure systems requiring excellent resistance to seawater, axit flohydric, alkalis and chloride-containing media.
