What is a stainless steel globe valve?
A globe valve moves a disc or plug perpendicular to a stationary seat. Its internal flow path creates more pressure drop than a gate valve, but the arrangement provides better flow regulation and more controlled shutoff during frequent operation.
Standard T-pattern bodies are common for general process service. Y-pattern and angle-pattern designs can be selected when lower pressure loss, drainage or piping layout is important. Throttling performance depends on plug contour, seat design, travel, actuator and process conditions.

Can a globe valve be used for throttling?
Đúng. Globe valves are commonly selected for regulated flow, but plug contour, allowable pressure drop, cavitation, noise, velocity and actuator requirements must be checked for the actual duty.
What is the difference between a globe valve and a gate valve?
A globe valve uses a disc moving onto a seat and is suitable for regulation, but has higher pressure drop. A gate valve provides a straighter flow path and is mainly used for full-open or full-closed isolation.
Which flow direction should be used?
Flow direction depends on the valve pattern, disc design, áp lực , temperature and operating objective. Follow the approved drawing and body flow arrow rather than applying one rule to every globe valve.
When is a bellows seal required?
A bellows seal may be selected where stem leakage must be minimized for hazardous, toxic, high-purity or vacuum service. Bellows material, cycle life and secondary packing arrangement must be specified.
Can hardfaced seating be supplied?
