Alloy C-2000 / UNS N06200 forged weld neck flange enquiry. Specify ASTM B564, size, class, facing, bore and inspection requirements. Supply subject to quotation review.

Description

Nickel alloy · UNS N06200 · Forged weld neck flange

Alloy C-2000 weld neck flanges are nickel-chromium-molybdenum-copper piping components specified as UNS N06200. For a forged flange, identify ASTM B564 as the material specification and define the dimensional standard separately. Send SASA FLANGE your drawing and service requirements for quotation review.

C-2000, also known by the HASTELLOY® C-2000® trade name, is considered for demanding chemical connections. A weld neck flange has a tapered hub and a butt-weld end; its bore must match the adjoining pipe. Grade selection, joint dimensions and pressure-temperature suitability require separate checks.

Alloy C-2000 weld neck flange specification

Information to define before ordering
Product form Forged weld neck pipe flange with butt-weld connection
Material identity Alloy C-2000 / UNS N06200; nickel-chromium-molybdenum-copper alloy
Material specification ASTM B564; ASME SB-564 where explicitly required and certified
Related designation 2.4675 / NiCr23Mo16Cu; confirm the ordered product specification and certification
Dimensional basis ASME B16.5 within its applicable size/class scope, or an approved project drawing
Size, pressure class and facing State the exact NPS, class and RF/RTJ or other approved facing in the enquiry; subject to technical and supply review
Bore and weld end Pipe outside diameter, wall thickness or schedule, bevel and transition detail
Inspection documents Specify material certificate type, heat traceability, dimensional report and required NDE before quotation

The ASME class number is a rating designation, not a pressure expressed in psi. The allowable operating pressure depends on material, temperature, applicable code edition and joint design. A dimensional match alone does not establish an acceptable pressure rating.

Where C-2000 deserves a material review

The alloy’s copper addition distinguishes it from many other Ni-Cr-Mo grades and supports its evaluation in sulfuric-acid service. Chemical-processing equipment connections, reactor piping and heat-exchanger circuits are possible review cases. Selection must use the actual concentration, temperature, contaminants and operating cycle; the alloy name does not establish compatibility with every acid mixture.

C-2000 is a separate grade from C22 and C276

Order N06200 explicitly. C22 is UNS N06022 and C276 is UNS N10276. They are separate alloys, so an offer for either alternative requires engineering approval. For a procurement comparison, read our C-2000 vs C22 flange selection guide; existing options include C22 flanges and C276 flanges.

Confirm the entire welded connection

Specify matching pipe dimensions and the approved welding procedure, filler metal and weld examination. Review gasket compatibility, face finish, bolting and assembly requirements together. Choosing a corrosion-resistant flange does not protect an unsuitable gasket or adjoining component.

Inspection and documentation to request

  • Material identity: certificate showing UNS N06200, ordered specification and edition, heat number, chemical analysis and applicable mechanical test results.
  • Traceability: reconcile the flange marking, heat number and certificate throughout machining and shipment.
  • Dimensions: check drilling, thickness, hub geometry, bore, bevel, facing and finish against the approved requirements.
  • Additional examination: define PMI, penetrant testing, ultrasonic examination or third-party inspection with methods and acceptance criteria where required.

PMI is an identity check within the instrument’s capabilities. It does not replace complete certification, heat-treatment records or all specified tests. Agree the inspection scope before manufacture rather than assuming that every optional test is included.

Include these details so the enquiry can be assessed consistently:

  1. Alloy C-2000 / UNS N06200 and ASTM B564 or the specifically required material standard.
  2. Weld neck type, dimensional standard and edition, nominal size and pressure class.
  3. Pipe OD, wall thickness, bore, weld-end detail and facing/finish.
  4. Design pressure and temperature, process fluid and relevant corrosion conditions.
  5. Quantity, drawing revision, documentation, NDE and delivery destination.

Price and delivery depend on the approved specification, material route, quantity and inspection scope. Send your C-2000 flange RFQ or browse the weld neck flange category.

Frequently asked questions

Is C-2000 a stainless steel grade?

No. C-2000 is a nickel-base alloy identified as UNS N06200.

Does ASTM B564 define the flange drilling dimensions?

No. It is a material specification for nickel-alloy forgings. Define the applicable flange dimensional standard or approved drawing separately.

Can C22 be supplied against an N06200 order?

Only after an approved material substitution. C22/N06022 and C-2000/N06200 are separate grades.

Is the illustrated flange proof of material or availability?

No. The AI-generated image illustrates flange geometry. Material identity requires traceable documentation; supply scope is confirmed by quotation.
