Description
Differential-pressure flow measurement
ASTM A182 F60 Duplex 2205 Orifice Flange
An ASTM A182 F60 orifice flange is a forged duplex 2205 pressure-tapped flange used with an orifice plate for differential-pressure measurement.
What is an F60 duplex 2205 orifice flange?
The forged pair combines pressure-boundary flanges and defined tap locations around a metering plate. Duplex manufacturing requires controlled heat treatment, machining and verification.
F60 / S32205 provides higher strength than common austenitic grades and improved chloride stress-corrosion resistance, but the piping design and instrument arrangement still govern suitability.

Material and dimensional standards
Material specification
ASTM A182 Grade F60 is associated with UNS S32205 duplex stainless forging. Do not substitute other duplex forging grades without engineering approval.
Product dimensions
ASME B16.36 covers orifice flanges and pressure-tapping arrangements. Weld neck forms are ordered by NPS, class, bore, facing and tap configuration.

Frequently asked questions
What should be included in an RFQ for an F60 duplex 2205 orifice flange?
State the material specification, dimensional standard and edition, size, pressure class or wall thickness, end or facing detail, quantity, inspection requirements and delivery destination.
Can an F60 duplex 2205 orifice flange be supplied with EN 10204 3.1 documentation?
Yes. EN 10204 3.1 material certification and heat-number traceability can be supplied. PMI, NDE, dimensional reporting or third-party inspection should be stated on the purchase order.
Is F60 Duplex 2205 suitable for every corrosive service?
No. Grade selection depends on the fluid chemistry, chloride level, temperature, pressure, fabrication route and governing design code. The project engineer should confirm service suitability.
