Why specify this grade?
Specify B5 when the approved piping material class or equipment datasheet explicitly calls for this chromium-molybdenum bolting grade. It is especially relevant when the adjoining pressure components use compatible chromium-alloy material systems and high-temperature performance is required.
Critical engineering note
