Delivery highlights
Manufacturing and machining scope
The F22 forgings were processed under the ordered material and heat-treatment requirements before final machining. Hub profiles, bolt drilling, gasket faces and weld ends were produced to the applicable ASME B16.5 dimensional envelope. The ordered pipe schedule was treated as a controlled input because a correct Class 600 flange can still create a field mismatch if the bore or weld preparation is wrong.
During production, heat identity followed the parts through machining and inspection. Permanent marking was applied in a location that remained legible after coating and packing without affecting the sealing surface or weld end.
Release inspection before shipment
PMI confirmed the chrome-moly alloy family, while hardness readings and material records addressed the delivered condition. Dimensional checks covered outside diameter, thickness, hub geometry, bolt-hole pattern, aburrir, weld end and raised-face condition. These checks perform different functions and were reviewed together rather than using PMI as a substitute for mechanical or dimensional acceptance.
Following release, sealing faces received rigid protection and the flanges were separated inside the export package to prevent metal-to-metal impact.
Information needed for a comparable RFQ
A comparable inquiry should identify the exact material specification and grade, governing standard and edition, NPS, clase de presión, tipo de brida, frente a, diámetro interior o tabla de tubería correspondiente, quantity and destination. For this project-news scope, the key reference points were ASTM A182 F22 forged alloy steel, cuello de soldadura, cara levantada (WNRF), Clase 600 y NPS 2–12; bores matched to ordered pipe schedules.
State the required EN 10204 certificate type, heat-number traceability, PMI extent, límites de dureza, dimensional report, NDE method and acceptance standard, third-party witness points, packing method and required delivery date at quotation stage. Early definition allows manufacturing, inspection and document schedules to be reviewed together.

Preguntas frecuentes
¿Tiene clase? 600 mean the flange is rated for 600 psi in every condition?
No. Allowable pressure depends on the material group and design temperature in the adopted ASME B16.5 rating table.
Why is the pipe schedule needed for a weld neck flange?
The schedule or exact wall thickness defines the required bore and weld-end transition for field welding.
Which documents accompanied the shipment?
The release package was prepared around EN 10204 3.1 registros de materiales, heat traceability and the ordered inspection reports.
